Santigron Tour, our Head destination (1 day)

After a bus- and boat trip of 1½ hrs. you arrive at Santigron,
a traditional Maroon village, where the descendants of the deserted
slaves live. You get a village-guide and pass the Roman Catholic
school and church, the Islamatic mosque and the and the Gadu-oso
for the traditional Gods.

The excellent lunch with peanut-rice and fish, tasty vegetables
and a fruity desert, will give you the excuse to say: "Blackman
eat, Blackman sleep". The possibility
to swim is offered during this little time of hammock
relaxation.
Then you learn about the Awasa-, Sonque- and the Susa dances in
the whirling Cultural dance show, which is followed by the artistic
Woodcarving expo.Take some original woodcraft-products home in
remembrance of this fantastic day.

Santigron/Pikin Poika Tour (2 days)

Day one you experience the same
as the Santigron-tour
mentioned above. Day two you make a
jungle walk to the Amerindian
village of Pikin Poika,
where you learn about the style of living of the Amerindians. The
jungle walk learns you more about the
medically importance of our rainforest plants.

Hunting and Fishing tour (2 days)
|

You build your Maroon survival camp somewhere in the bushes near
the Saramaccariver and hunt and/or fish your meals together to get
an image of the daily living of a Maroon hunter.

'Rumble in the
jungle'

the frequent jungle walks you get information about flora and fauna
you see around.
