The bus trip to Brownsberg shows you the roughness of nature through the bauxite road, while passing Suriname's aluminium company and various Maroon and Amerindian villages.
The Rainforest itself presents you a paradise of green and pure nature, where the refreshing water of the Leo- and the Irene falls offer you great relief.

Jaw Jaw Tour (3 days)

The turbulent waterfalls of the Suriname River were the best protection for the Maroons in the 19th and 20th Century.

Today we enjoy those falls and the Culture of the Maroons with every segment of our soul.
 

After a 4-hour bus trip to Atjonie, we lunch and get in the boat for a ½-hour trip to the Maroon village Jaw Jaw. The village presents you her pureness in hospitality, a Cultural Dance show and swimming in the waterfalls. During this trip you also make jungle trips in the interior and if possible visits to other villages.
